Hi! I’m Nicole, the owner and caregiver behind Nicole’s Critter Care.
Animals have always been a central part of my life, and over the past 16+ years I’ve built a professional background caring for a wide variety of pets, from dogs and cats to reptiles, amphibians, and small mammals.
I became a Certified Professional Dog Groomer in 2010 and spent years working in grooming salons providing hands-on care for dogs and cats of many breeds, temperaments, and grooming needs.
In addition to grooming, I’ve worked in professional pet care and retail animal environments, providing daily care, feeding, enrichment, and habitat maintenance for a wide variety of species. During this time I also had the opportunity to work alongside a professional dog trainer, gaining valuable experience observing behavior, understanding body language, and using positive reinforcement techniques to safely handle and interact with pets.
Certification earned through Paragon School of Pet Grooming, a professional grooming education program with over 30 years of industry training experience and mentorship-based certification programs for groomers.

Beyond my professional work, I’ve spent my life caring for a wide variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, bearded dragons, crested geckos, skinks, chameleons, axolotls, frogs, toads, and freshwater fish.
This experience allows me to confidently care for both traditional household pets and more specialized species, giving families with unique pets peace of mind.

Nicole’s Critter Care is a small, owner-operated business, which means I personally handle every visit. Your pets won’t be cared for by a rotating team of strangers, they’ll be cared for by the same experienced person each time.
This consistency helps pets feel more comfortable and allows me to quickly notice any changes in behavior, appetite, or health.

I’m also a homeschool mom with a BA in Education, which has strengthened my patience, observation skills, and and ability to adapt care to each pet’s individual needs.
Occasionally my young helper joins me for small safe tasks during visits. Many neighborhood pets love the extra attention and gentle companionship she brings.
